Granite City Rally - Car 108, 53rd and 4th in class (95 starters and 61 finished)
Trevor was co-driven by David Wyer on this event
April 12th - The Granite City is an unpredictable event and the weather very often plays a crucial role. Not so in 1997, perfect conditions meant that Trevor and David could get on with the stages with no worries on that score.
A new format to the event with a prologue spectator special on the Friday night and then the crew were in the Grampian Forests for the next day. SS2 involved a spin and minor off which was initially deemed due to brake problems. At service adjustment of the brakes and suspension provided an improvement, but the reason for the wayward ‘moment’ was never really established. Apart from these minor problems, an otherwise trouble free event ensured a respectable finish.
